Lessons

Well, this is year 4 and let me tell you I am learning a lot! Starting a flower farm and building a business is not for the faint of heart. At the beginning of this journey, my focus was going to be growing the lavender farm. For some reason (can’t remember why 😦) I decided to try to grow some summer flowers and not expand the lavender for this year. Those flowers are blooming now, but not enough to really do anything with yet. The sunflower beds are growing but are not quite ready for picking. I lost about two rows, nearly 100, of the Grosso lavender due to our long winter of 22-23.

A few weeks ago, I went to the Lavender Festival in Sequim, Washington. It was so beautiful AND rekindled my passion for Lavender. I think I am going to return to my original plan and grow lavender. I plan on ordering more Lavendula Augustifolia and “growing” the Lavender business. Not sure what that will look like but…… stay tuned!
